Web Retailing Comes of Age as nine companies exceed $ 1 billion in sales in 2004 and another nine doing over $ 500 million in annual on-line sales – Internet Shopping accounts for nearly 5% of all retail sales and is expected to grow by another whopping 20% this year.
The Internet advertising bureau reported that total Internet Advertising for 2004 was $ 2.37 billion, almost a 50% increase over 2003 and Forrester Research is predicting $ 7 billion in Search Engine spending by 2007.
Webro studies estimate that over $ 50 Billion dollars will be spent on advertising on-line in North America over the next 5 years.
A 2003 research report by eProfessional Commerce Solutions indicates that 95% of Internet Users use search engines, two-thirds of these on a regular basis.
